Hi

Field- and Indoorhockey

Hello and welcome to my presentation about Field- and Indoorhockey.
My presentation is made up of five parts:
The first part is about Hockeyfacts, the second part is about the equipment, then I tell you something about the rules, then something about the differents between Field- and Indoorhockey and last but not least about the different competitions.

Firstly I tell you something about generall Hockey.
Fieldhockey is a favourit team sport. The most successfull teams are India, Pakistan, Germany, Netherlands and Australia.
When you play Hockey, you always make two sports: In the summer you play Fieldhockey and in the winter Indoorhockey.
Hockey is diffused in all five continents and is played from ca. 4 Million people.

Now the equipment.
Hockey is played with a special Hockeystick and Hockeyball.
You also need a shin guard, a gumshield and a glove.
The goalkeeper has an extra euqipment.

Now I want to tell you something about the Rules
The Ball has to be played with the left side of the Hockeystick.
It isn´t allowed to play the ball with the foot, the hand or with other parts of the body.
Just the goalkeeper is allowed to do this.
Other fouls are:
- To constrain the opponent (den Gegner behindern)
- Lack of sportsmanship (Unsportlichkeit)

Because of the speed and the small ball there are always two referees who have equal rights.
As in the football there are also cards and warnings in the hockey.
The green card is a warning.
The yellow card means a sending – off for 2 till 10 minutes and the red card means a sending – off for the hole game and a suspension for at least one important game.

Now I´d like to take a look at the essential differends between Field- and Indoorhockey.
At Fieldhockey there are ten players and a keeper on the field, by Indoorhockey there are just five players and a keeper.
In the hall you´re just allowed to push the ball, but outdoor you can push, sweep, hit and flick
(The playtime in Indoorhockey is 2x30min; outdoor you play 2x35min.)

Here you can see the playing field in a hall.
It measures 18 to 22meters x 36 to 44meters.

This is the pitch for Fieldhockey.
It measures 55meters x 91,4meters

(On both fields you can see the so-called “D”. A goal counts just when you have shot in this circle.)
The great different between Field- and Indoorhockey is, that Indoorhockey is not an Olympic discipline and it probably will never have the chance to be one of this, because it isn´t so popular and not so famous.

Now the different competitions
The most important competitions for the national-teams are the Olympic Games, the champions Trophy and of course the world championship.
These competitions are organised by the International Hockey Federation.
The last world championship was in 2006 in Germany, in Mönchengladbach. There Germany became a world champion for the second time.

The most important competitions for the different Hockey clubs are the Euro Hockey League for the men and the Eurotrophy for the women.
These competitions are organised by the Euro Federation.
Of course, the teams are also playing in different leagues like the first league, the second league and so on...

Zitat:
My presentation is made up of five parts

"consists of..." oder "is divided into..."

Zitat:
The first part is about Hockeyfacts

Zitat:
then I tell you something

Im Gegensatz zum Deutschen brauchst du ein Futur, entweder "will" oder "going to"

Zitat:
Firstly I tell you something about generall Hockey

Zitat:
Fieldhockey is a favourit team sport

Was soll "favourite" hier heißen?

Zitat:
When you play Hockey, you always make two sports

"to do sports"

Zitat:
In the summer

"In summer" außer du meinst einen speziellen Sommer

Zitat:
in the winter

siehe "summer"

Zitat:
Hockey is diffused in all five continents and is played from ca. 4 Million people

"diffused" passt hier nicht, "played by"

Zitat:
Hockey is played with a special Hockeystick and Hockeyball

Zitat:
The goalkeeper has an extra euqipment

"an" brauchst du nicht

Zitat:
To constrain the opponent - Lack of sportsmanship

Zitat:
As in the football there are also cards and warnings in the hockey

Die bestimmten Artikel brauchst du nicht

Zitat:
Now I´d like to take a look at the essential differends between Field- and Indoorhockey.

"differences"

Zitat:
At Fieldhockey there are ten players and a keeper on the field, by Indoorhockey there are just five players and a keeper

Überprüf nochmal die Präpositionen "at" und "by", die kommen mir unpassend vor

Zitat:
The great different between

Siehe vorletzte Anmerkung

Zitat:
Germany became a world champion for the second time

"a" kann wegfallen

Stimmt die Grammatik wenn ich stattdessen schreib:
Fieldhockey is played with ten players and a keeper, Indoorhockey is played with just five players and a keeper.

Um die präpositionen zu umgehen...

...is played by ten players

Beachte: to play with sb. aber: A sport is played by many people!
